Email, webinars and funnels from a Polish EU provider

Prices exclude VAT, billed monthly unless stated otherwise.(ad) = ad link

  • The price is the monthly price of the cheapest paid plan at that list size. The Free plan column shows when you do not have to pay.
  • EmailOctopus and ActiveCampaign: the price list only shows the monthly price on annual billing. Monthly billing costs more.
  • GetResponse and ActiveCampaign: the smallest list sold is 1,000 contacts, so the 500-contact column shows that price.

What the price covers: The smallest list size is 1,000 contacts, so the 500-contact column shows the price for a thousand contacts. Annual billing −18%. The Marketer plan costs €54 / €69 / €99 at the same list sizes.

How contacts are counted

Billing is set by two figures: the month’s highest number of active contacts and the total number of contacts added during the month, regardless of what later happens to them. The same address on several lists is counted several times. Exceeding the limit is not a one-off charge but recurs every billing period, on an annual contract too, and above 100,000 contacts the charge is $4 for every thousand started.

Deliverability

Deliverability is the share of sent messages that reaches the inbox instead of the spam folder. The figures come from Tooltester’s test series, which ended in January 2024 — they describe 2017–2024, not the present. The average and the range are calculated across all rounds.

Deliverability

  • Latest round90.9%
  • Average of 12 rounds83.8%
  • Range75.6–91.3%
  • Standard deviation5.1

The second-lowest average in the series — the lowest is Brevo’s 82.7% — but a clear upward trend in the last two rounds.

Tooltester ended the series with the January 2024 round and explained why in August 2026: seed lists proved unreliable and providers started optimising for them. The figures are therefore history, not a measurement of current deliverability.

Source: Tooltester deliverability test, 12 rounds 8/2017–1/2024. About 80 seed addresses, 28 providers, shared IP addresses. Average across all platforms in the latest round 83.1%. Average and range calculated from the published rounds.

Deliverability features from the help docs

Eight points read from each provider’s own help pages on 13 September 2026. This replaces percentages as a buying basis: a feature can be checked and dated, a seed-list result no longer can. Every cell links to the article it was read from.

Yes = the help page describes the feature. No = the help page says it is absent or points to an external tool. — = not found in the help pages; that does not mean the feature is absent.

Who GetResponse suits

Best when: Webinars and sales funnels in the same tool as email

Not for you if: You only want a newsletter — you pay for a webinar module you do not use

Three plans, and the two pricier ones sell a different product

GetResponse’s Starter is a newsletter tool. Marketer and Creator are something else: the former is an e-commerce marketing package, the latter a platform for selling courses and memberships. The price difference says the same.

ContactsStarterMarketerCreator
1,000€16/mo€54/mo€62/mo
2,500€27/mo€69/mo€79/mo
10,000€69/mo€99/mo€114/mo

From the price list on 3 September 2026, monthly billing. Annual billing −18%, the largest annual discount in the comparison.

Note that the gap between Starter and Marketer shrinks as the list grows: at a thousand contacts Marketer costs more than three times as much, at ten thousand only one and a half times. If you know you need automation workflows, with a large list they cost relatively less.

The free plan is gone

GetResponse used to have a free plan. Now the price list has a 14-day trial, after which the premium features stop working. If an older comparison promises you a GetResponse free plan, it is out of date — checked on the price list on 3 September 2026.

The smallest list sold is 1,000 contacts

The price list does not know a 500-contact list at all. If your list has 200 names, you still pay the price for a thousand contacts, €16 a month. For a beginner this is the least favourable starting point in the comparison: EmailOctopus and Systeme.io handle the same list for free, and Brevo for €7.

What really stands out about GetResponse

  • Unlimited sending on every paid plan. In the comparison, sending is uncapped at Systeme.io on every plan, at GetResponse on its paid plans and on MailerLite’s Power plan. For a frequent sender this is a big deal — Brevo bills for exactly that.
  • Webinars built in. A separate webinar platform typically costs tens of euros a month; if webinars are part of your marketing, the total price is worth calculating together.
  • Polish company, data in the EU. The contracting party and the data centre are both in the EU, so no third-country transfer basis is needed.

Who this is not for

If you just want a newsletter for a small list, GetResponse is an expensive and rigid choice: there is no free plan, the smallest list is 1,000 contacts, and the webinar module goes unused. The same money buys a 2,500-subscriber list at EmailOctopus, and MailerLite handles a 500-name list for €11.

Integrations

GetResponse states over 170 integrations, with Shopify singled out in particular. The number is mid-range in the comparison: ActiveCampaign states over 1,000 apps and Mailchimp 300+, while MailerLite stays at 130. Brevo does not publish a total.

The figures are the services’ own and not comparable one to one, because some count connectors that work through Zapier. The decisive question is always whether there is a ready-made connector for your platform — a count does not tell you that. Checked 4 September 2026.

How GetResponse compares with the alternatives

  • At a small list: the least favourable in the comparison. The smallest list sold is 1,000 contacts and there is no free plan, so a 200-name list costs €16 a month. EmailOctopus and Systeme.io handle the same for free.
  • At a mid-sized list: at 2,500 contacts €27 sits below MailerLite’s €29 and above Brevo’s €21. Unlimited sending sets it apart from both.
  • As a whole: webinars and sales funnels in the same package is the same idea as Systeme.io, but from an EU provider and in euros. If webinars are not part of your marketing, you pay for a part you do not use.

What we do not know yet

The figures above were read from the service’s own price list and privacy policy, and they are dated. On usability and support response time we say nothing: they cannot be read from the documentation, and a guess would harm the reader more than a missing fact. The deliverability figures above were measured by a third party, not by us. The full method →

Frequently asked questions

Does GetResponse have a free plan?
Not any more. The price list has a 14-day trial, after which the premium features stop working. The service used to have a free plan, so older comparisons still promise one. Checked on the price list on 3 September 2026.
How much does GetResponse cost?
Starter costs €16 per month at a thousand contacts, €27 at 2,500 and €69 at 10,000. Marketer costs €54, €69 and €99 at the same list sizes, Creator €62, €79 and €114. Annual billing is 18% cheaper, the largest annual discount in the comparison.
Why is a small list expensive?
Because the price list does not know a 500-contact list at all: the smallest list sold is 1,000 contacts. If your list has 200 names, you still pay €16 a month. EmailOctopus and Systeme.io handle the same list for free and Brevo for seven euros.
Where is GetResponse’s data stored?
In the EU. According to the privacy policy (in force from 19 June 2026) the controller is Polish GetResponse S.A. in Gdańsk, and the recipients of personal data are “mainly in the European Economic Area”. Transfers outside the EEA arise only if you use certain add-on features, such as chat, text messages or Google analytics — then the basis is the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. The data for plain email marketing stays in the EU.
What stands out about GetResponse?
Three things. Sending is unlimited on every paid plan, which is rare in the comparison. The webinar tool is built in, so no separate webinar platform is needed. And the company is Polish, so both the contracting party and the data are in the EU.
Is the Marketer plan worth it?
It depends on list size. At a thousand contacts Marketer costs more than three times Starter, at ten thousand only one and a half times. If you know you need automation workflows, abandoned-cart emails or sales funnels, with a large list they cost relatively less.
Who is GetResponse not for?
Anyone who just wants a newsletter for a small list. There is no free plan, the smallest list is 1,000 contacts and the webinar module goes unused. The same money buys a 2,500-subscriber list at EmailOctopus.
